When two seasoned musicians in the prime of their careers met an attractive newcomer with a magnificent voice, it was a match made in heaven. Mell VF is a Dutch trio playing rootsy rhythm & blues and soul.

Mell VF officially burst onto the scene in early 2016. They launched with a strong string of singles that have become a staple on national radio and released their debut album in May 2019. The single Forever achieved gold status in the Netherlands.

In early 2021, the band, then still called Mell & Vintage Future, released the Covid cover album Roots & Romance. Their rendition of Lou Reed’s Perfect Day was later selected by Paramount Pictures for the film The In Between (February 2022). Their official second album of original work was released in April 2022.

Following the singles Love Train, Worth It, and Shine Your Light—which were picked up in over 60 countries—Frozen in Time was her fourth release.

In 2023, Mell made a splash on the popular program Beste Zangers, which led to an invitation to Vandaag Inside, where she appeared for several weeks.

Expect a sound that blends Booker T. & The MG’s with Sly & The Family Stone, with a touch of Adele and a hint of Janis Joplin.
